The SMART Way

Michael Meyers

Statistically, death is 100%. That’s no Joke.

Funerals could cost upwards of $20,000. That does not even include transportation. So, if anyone dies out of state, the average cost of transportation is $10,000, and the country’s average cost is $20,000. Add that to the initial price; a traditional Funeral could cost $40-50,000. We better get on the ball here. The NFDA projects that by 2030, cremation rates will top 70%, making Financial decisions while grieving is never a good situation. Overspending because of emotions is commonplace.

Now is an excellent opportunity to explain why people in Florida love Smart Cremation. It’s affordable, flexible, offers relocation protection, and much more. Knowing they and their families can grieve without worries or financial struggles is peace of mind. For example, Some people have life insurance and expect the beneficiaries to take on the burden when they pass. If someone had four children with a $100,000 life policy, those four would be expected to receive $25,000 each. But because the deceased chose a funeral, they most likely will divide $75,000 or less. They were denied a significant portion of their inheritance. The solution is a SMART plan for $499 down and $49 a  month that is inflation-proof and covers you worldwide. Your Medicare clients and prospects are perfect for this sale.

Here are some tips on how to bundle with a win-win sale.

1) Host an event. Partner up with other agents or Retail Managers and host an event. Send a direct mailer or announcement like continental breakfast, luncheon, or dinner. People love a portion of free food.

2) Review the comparison chart – Burial VS Cremation. Make it easy for the consumer to understand and see why cremation is the best option. Tell them why 79% of Floridians choose cremation. Download Comparison Chart.

3) Whether your current or new client is shopping for health, Medicare, or life insurance, putting together a bundle package is highly profitable. Adding to your bottom line just in one sale equals more money for you. Who doesn’t love to get the most for their money?

4) Another point you can mention during a presentation regarding Medicare is how Medicare doesn’t cover burials. Just add the cremation segment to your presentation. You never know until you ask. You don’t ask; you don’t get it!

So now everyone is not only mourning a loss but also grieving about expenses. Not a good situation. So, there is the problem in a nutshell. What are the solutions? SMART Cremation has put the answer into a simple one-stop shop where one phone call takes care of everything from A-Z. That is a tremendous benefit that everyone should have. Please don’t keep this to yourself; mention it to all your clients and tell others. Most people don’t realize this is a looming problem, but it’s your responsibility to identify it for them. Do your job as an agent and mention Smart cremation. You’ll be glad you did.

Take advantage now. Perfect opportunity. Bruce Henry, our CEO, is also upping the ante; the Top Store per month(minimum of 6 deals) will receive a $500 Gift card.
