So many people make New Year’s resolutions to only found out later that they did not accomplish their New Year Goal. Our Society has basically brainwashed people into thinking that somehow magically you will lose weight, make more sales, buy a bigger house take that once in a lifetime trip, etc. etc. But in reality,  every day is a new day and offers tremendous possibilities. 

In our Monday morning home office meeting I asked who had some New Year’s resolutions or goals. Some wanted to sell more STM, another wanted to have $50,000 in her account by year end and so on. I then asked, what is your plan to get there? One said make more calls the other said save more. I struggled with those responses. Why?

The old saying is ‘The road to hell is paved with good intentions”. No matter how good your intentions may be, if you don’t peel back the layers on the onion, you never get to center or bottom. Make more STM sales. How about setting a daily goal to make 50 calls a day. Compare your sales and call roster for the past 2 years. Call your current book of business and use the emergency contact list for referrals. Send your current book a text campaign on how great the Allstate health Solution Products are, especially the STM and that they may qualify for a preferred rate.

And the easiest answer to the person that wants to save more money is. Cut back on unnecessary spending and secondly work harder. The harder you work, the luckier you get. The bottom line to all this is, don’t set yourself up for failure, because if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Have a great 2023 and Happy New Year!
