Most recently VP Purchasing for TBC Corporation, a recognized leader in the replacement tire and automotive service industry. Managed a team within the Purchasing Group, that sourced ~20M passenger and light truck tires of the 44M total company purchased tires (passenger, light truck, medium radial truck & specialty) domestically and aboard (China, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia & Singapore). TBC owns and operates the Big O Tires and Midas franchise chains and, until June 2023, had 600+ company-owned retail stores under the Tire Kingdom and NTB brands. These company-owned stores were sold to Mavis Discount Tire at that time, and I became semi-retired. I also oversaw the Valvoline & Interstate Battery accounts for all Franchise and Retail Operations during my last 2 years with TBC. My passion for automobiles and racing fueled my interest to enter the Automotive Industry after college at Bowling Green State University and after a few short stints with part suppliers to the Big 3, I spent 10 years with Cooper Tire & Rubber Company in Operations and Product Planning roles. The last 19 years I had been with TBC Corporation in various expanding roles within their Franchise Operations and Purchasing Group in Denver, Memphis and most recently Palm Beach Gardens offices. I’m on the Automotive Aftermarket Charity Foundation Board of Trustees and am Chairman of the golf committee which most recently raised over $600K the at our annual event for those within the industry that have fallen on hard times. I’m very proud of my service to the automotive industry and plan to continue serving on the board while I begin my new journey at Compass Health within the health and life insurance industry. I’m very much looking forward to assisting Compass Health on a growth track that is beneficial to all associated with Compass Health.
I’m an avid golfer along with a water and snow skier; although I am slowing down on the skiing, I have no plans to slow down on the golf. I reside in Stuart, FL with Cathy, my wife of 29 years. We have two adult children, Jared and Jacob.
