MA-OEP is coming to an end on 3/30. Let’s all work together to end it with a bang !! *On a side note the Hurricane SEP has been extended once again until 6/30/2024
One thing that you can start doing is setting up Medicare 101. By doing this, you will set yourself up for tons of leads for AEP or when they are turning 65.
Below are some tips on how to get these rolling.
Reach out to 55+ Communities to set up Medicare 101’s (Make sure they have under 65 tenants that can attend, not people already on Medicare and over 65)
- Objective is to host these at the same spots in front of the same people every few weeks to gain their trust and build a relationship with them.
- Start with the 101
- Have someone from the Police Department come in and talk about Senior Awareness.
- Have someone come in from IT and talk about cyber security & awareness
- Have a Doctor come out from an in-network provider’s Office & talk about a medical topic
- Follow up with another Medicare 101
- Each time you host these, you will collect a consent to contact card. When AEP comes around, you now have tons of leads to call.
During Medicare 101’s (educational event) :
- Have any marketing materials out (tri-folds, brochures, enrollment guides) or go over Blue Medicare products, prices, or benefits
- Can have meals/food up to $15 per person
- At a sales presentation, you can only have light refreshments & snacks
- You can have your business cards/consent to contact out
- You can have any promotional items like swag
- You can not set up individual sales appointments or get permission for an outbound call to a beneficiary
- You can not conduct enrollment or sales activities
* Make sure to ask about marketing for these and if they are going to make/pass out flyers or if we need to. There are PowerPoint presentations to use for these 101’s loaded in the Medicare Materials section under Agents on the Compasshealthinsurance.com website.
