Now more than ever social media is a pillar in grassroots marketing and recruiting for the insurance industry. From 740 million members on LinkedIn, 57% of U.S social media users use Facebook to share content, and 1 billion users on Instagram, you could live off prospecting from advertising on social media alone.

Here are a few ways to utilize your social media accounts:

  • Join Local Community Groups: Joining groups in your community that allow advertising will give you access to hundreds if not thousands of people within that group and community. Everyone in the group is there for the same reason, to see what is going on within their community and what people have to offer.
  • Include Videos whenever you post: In this new day and age, quick videos grab the consumer’s attention much more than text and pictures. Make sure the video is efficient and to the point.
  • Be More Social than Promotional: Let’s not forget, this is social media, most people use these platforms to chat and talk to friends in family, however, instead of constantly running ads, encourage sharing and conversation. Post about the benefits of the insurance industry or even run polls on your accounts to interact with your network.
  • Optimize Your Profile to attract Viewers: Your profile should tell not only a story about yourself but also your brand and industry. Have a professional headshot for your profile picture and a high-quality cover photo. Authenticating your profile provides trust to your viewers by putting a face behind the name. Keep posting on a constant schedule and interact with your fans. Last but not least, comment on people’s posts in your network and community groups. Providing useful and encouraging feedback will create conversation and provide more exposure to your profile.

Compass Health is happy to promote your page or posts to get even more engagement. If you need any assistance in setting up a professional profile don’t hesitate to reach out to me, Let’s grow together!
