During AEP / OE all of us are looking for ways to increase sales. With leads online and Social Media, many agents have forgotten about the immediate success available from Grass Roots Marketing. This past Saturday I was reminded again of how amazing successful results available from hitting the streets with Grass Roots Marketing.
Tom Abruscato one of our home Office staff came up with the idea to approach a local Plasma center. He approached the manager with the idea of setting up a table outside the facility to hand out a snack and drink to the donors when they leave the facility. We set up a table starting at 10:00 AM and handed out Granola Bars, Trail Mix, Gatorade, and Water to people as they came out. These individuals are there to make $50 for donating Plasma so almost 95% of them qualify for a $0 health plan and many of them showed great interest in talking to us. We entered 14 applications (16 members) and took in an additional 19 leads from people who wished to be contacted. All of this for $60 in snacks and drinks and a few hours of time. Each of these individuals is not just an enrollment but a possible Field Marketer for your referral program. As we enrolled people, we offered them the opportunity to be in our referral program and let them know we pay a $25 Visa card for each person they sent us who signed up. There is no better way to increase your sales then have 25 to 50 customers out in the community sending you new customers each day.
We did not need to wait for the results from this effort we saw it in applications we entered in that very day. Do not overlook the amazing results that can come from getting out in your community with new and original ideas. This event is one we plan to grow by adding another local center and alternating weekends between the two locations. Take the time today to locate a Plasma Facility near the year and stop by and see if they want to have you help their donors.
Benefits to the Center:
- Help their donors to recover – This process zaps the body of fluids, and a small snack and hydration are encouraged. Most go right to somewhere in the shopping center to get a snack and drink. They are more than happy to give you a few minutes for your kindness.
- Healthy Donors – These facilities make money the more donations they get each month. You need to stay healthy to donate. If their donors can see a doctor and maintain their health, they can continue to donate.
