

In today’s society, finding new talent might seem challenging, but it isn’t. Technique and approach are all you need to succeed in today’s recruiting world.
Here are five tips on where and how to succeed at recruiting.
1- Seek the traditional methods, such as placing ads in newspapers, creating flyers or postcards, attending events, becoming part of the local community, such as the chamber, and making a specific mailer to P&C, realtors, or brokers.
2- Digital recruiting. You can reach out to people via social media or email. You can create an email campaign or contact many individuals through Facebook, Instagram, Linked In via messenger or, Indeed, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, or next door; you can search for people’s resumes or shoot them a message on what you have to offer and the benefits why us.
3- Create an open house / virtual webinar. It is a perfect opportunity to recruit, but it might also get a customer in the door. There could be a twofer.
4- Attend job fairs—colleges, online virtual fairs, and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity are a few to name.
5- Referrals. Maybe your neighbors might know someone in need of a job. It is an excellent incentive to tell them they get a small bonus for every employee who signs on.
6- Create an outline of how you would approach the candidates, schedule interviews, and offer an invitation letter. Always make sure to follow up after an interview.
