Are You Marketing?

Brett Henry

I read once a long time ago that you only get one chance to make a good impression. There is a lot of truth in that statement. Just think about the first time you met your significant other. You had your best smile on, and hopefully best dressed while at the same time you presented yourself in the best light possible. It was a magic moment. Now that’s what they call Marketing 101!

So what are you doing to develop leads as well as following up with existing clients? Are your current clients impressed with your service and performance? You see marketing is about consistency. Next time you’re watching your favorite show, pay attention to how many times you see the same commercial in the hour, the day or the week. Progressive insurance is relentless when it comes to commercials. But it’s that consistency that programs the mind for branding as well as immediate recognition of the product or service. When your clients think about insurance, Are you the first thing that comes to their mind? If not, how do you change that?

It’s easier than you think. It’s called working on the phone, attending Field Marketing events, Email and text. You must put a plan together to make it as automated as possible. If you’re consistent in your approach you will see results over the long run. I know it can look like nothing is working at times, but don’t let that fool you. Timing is everything! When that moment arrives and the husband says to the wife, “Honey, we need to review our coverage” or “Honey we turn 65 in a few months, and we should be thinking about Medicare” what was the agents name at Compass Health? You want to be that person they call.

Mike Meyers and Amanda Simpson have put together a program with the local Walgreens stores which will allow you to attend Seniors Day once a week. Our feedback has been extremely positive, and people are very interested in talking to agents about coverage. That’s just one example of how you can further your potential. The attending agents have walked away with 15-20 leads per visit and have closed a greater majority.

So, it’s your choice. You can either sit there and with little to no effort, or you can join the ranks of successful producers and become proactive in your marketing. Make sure you attend the Motivation Monday morning interactive webinar at 10 am with Erin Alcalay and participate in what is becoming the secret talk of the successful agent network. See you there!
